The Battle of Deir-ez-Zur was a major military engagement between Romeo's United States, backed by H.V. Ghalgheeli's Free Syria, against Vlad's Syrian Arab Republic. Both R-USA and H.V.G's Syria decided to deploy the minimal amount of troops after false intelligence claimed that the Syrian Army was unable to field a reasonable amount of troops within a short period of time.

American and Free Syrian troops were ambushed by the heavily under-estimated Syrian army and were forced to withdraw after 2 days. In wake of the incident, Romeo's USA completely reformed the way their Department of Defense (U.S. Military) operates, and completely changed their CIA policy to prevent future false intelligence incidents from occurring. Since this incident, R-USA's CIA has only reported on false intelligence once, which was in June of 2024.

The American defeat in Deir-ez-Zour was celebrated as a massive victory by Vlad's S.A.R., and this would later be the turning point which would shift the Syrian civil war into Vlad's favor. The day after the American withdrawal, H.V.G's Free Syria collapsed.

The day following the withdrawal, the United States Senate launched an official investigation into the Department of Defense and Central Intelligence Agency for their handling of the situation, and their reporting on false intelligence, respectively.

In the wake of the defeat, one of the highest ranking military generals within R-USA (Brigadier General) resigned, citing that he believed it would be better for the U.S. Military and the server in general if someone else was chosen to take his place.
