Mock Gov Syndromes
Mock Gov Syndromes are defined by a heightened state of immaturity, free thought, or a biased view of history, usually relating to activities on discord.

Larp Syndromes
Throughout Mockgov's history, many individuals have either held a biased view of history, declared allegiance to a dead state, or formed a cult of personality around a country they'd otherwise have no relation to. Common symptoms of developing Larp Syndrome include denying genocides committed by that state, having a profile based around that country, or positioning that country as more important than what it was in reality.
Wehraboo Larp Syndrome

Wehraboo Larp Syndrome (WLS) is the most commonly occurring form of larp syndrome within the community, with younger teenagers commonly falling victim.
Stages of Wehraboo Larp Syndrome
WLS can be divided into 3 main stages taking a victim from mild bias, to extensive arguing, and finally into a mental illness.
Stage 1 - Mild
The initial stages of WLS include correcting obscure facts, becoming easily frustrated in debates about Nazi Germany, becoming annoyed when any French, Jewish, Anglo or Soviet larper joins their server, and misappropriating the reasons for the decline of the German Realm. Patients are often able to escape this stage by going outside or relying on accurate, non-biased sources. However, thanks to the Discord ToS rule of requiring users to be 13+ [2], many inflicted individuals leave the community before advancing into later stages.
Stage 2 - Developing
The second stage of WLS usually entails raging during conversations, screaming slurs over minor inconveniences, and complaining when any German history is mentioned by someone else, even if it is historical. This stage often loops for many affected by WLS, with few advancing past it. A majority of individuals within this stage can often be seen arguing with other larpers in the world war era, disputing that the Germans could have won the war if some certain scenario played out, for example "If Hitler didn't declare war on the USA he would've conquered Europe."
Stage 3 - Advanced
The final primary stage, and the most deadly of WLS, the advanced stage, or stage three, entails the victim becoming engrossed in Nazi-related discord servers, denying various genocides, and justifying Neo-Nazi off-shoot movements such as those in America. Many people who fall into the stage three category end up becoming addicted to servers based around Germany in WW2 where they will extensively argue with others all day, leading to dropping grades in school.
Kaiserreich Larp Syndrome
Many of those inflicted by WLS, rather than developing to stage two, develop into an offshoot called Kaiserreich Larp Syndrome (KLS), where the player will accept the evils of Hitler and the Nazi party, instead opting to larp as Germany in WW1. This group of individuals can often be seen intervening directly in any discussion where French people are mentioned or present, justifying and endorsing the use of chemical warfare, and hanging around in alternate-history mockgovs where the German empire won the first world war..
Soviet Larp Syndrome
Although less relevant than WLS, Soviet Larp Syndrome (SLS) poses a serious threat to many members of the Mockgov community. A majority of those afflicted by SLS are previous WLS-victims who survived stage 1 by joining Soviet servers.
Stages of Soviet Larp Syndrome

Unlike WLS, Soviet Larp Syndrome is often terminal with many of those inflicted becoming involved in Russian studies outside of Mock Gov and can often be seen arguing about Russian superiority to the United States.
Stage 1 - Early Provocation
The first stage of SLS witnesses online individuals engaging in prolonged arguments, often lasting multiple hours, over irrelevant minuscule details about the Communist ideology or private property. Both sides get information from English Wikipedia or second-hand accounts. These arguments frequently lead to biased reports, individuals raging, and shouting slurs. Many in the early stages of stage one will become engrossed in Communist Party propaganda and jump directly to stage three.
Stage 2 - Denying Genocide
The second stage of SLS sees an individual begin to deny the violation of human rights in the Holodomor or older genocides conducted by the Soviets of the Whites, Cossacks, and Kazakh peoples'. Many in this stage do not publicly declare their denial or justification of these horrible actions until stage 3.
Stage 3 - Declare Allegiance
The third stage of SLS will see the inflicted go through a period of allegiance to either Trotsky or the Stalinists, often idolizing figures such as Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, and Leon Trotsky as their heroes. By this stage, a majority of individuals will either directly or indirectly support the genocide of minorities.
Russian Federation Larp Syndrome
RFLS is a offshoot that happens around stage 2, where a user becomes overly supportive of the Russian war in Ukraine. Victims can often be observed engaging in long arguments, claiming that Russia's actions are justified and that Russia would have let Ukraine exist if it wasn't for NATO's aggression and Ukrainian hostility.
Other Larp Syndromes
While Germany and the Soviet Union are two of the most common examples of Larp Syndrome, various other nations have their own group of afflicted people.
Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia is another nation present all around the Mockgov community, and it has formed a group of Larp Syndrome-inflicted users, with many individuals denying genocides and declaring loyalty to the state despite not having any relation to the country themselves.
Bosnia-Croatia

Bosnia, like Yugoslavia, has many inflicted individuals with Larp Syndrome, often seen sporting Nazi profiles and speaking Bosnian where they justify genocides outside of the reach of moderation. Croatian nationalists inside are also directly linked to Bosnia, exerting many of the same stages and symptoms but speaking Croatian instead of Bosnian.
Monarchists
While being considerably less active than previously, many monarchist servers still exist and are extremely varied. The unifying factor between people afflicted is an undying passion to argue that monarchy is the greatest ideology of all time. MLS victims are also often highly religious and are into role play.
Other Syndromes
Like in every discord community, there are many individuals inflicted with various ailments caused by a heightened sense of power and importance within the community.
Irrelevance Phenomenon

The Irrelevance Phenomenon is an ongoing issue within discord servers and the Wiki. For unknown reasons, recently joined members create their own Wiki page, or add themselves to the list of influential people, act with heightened importance and ego within Discords, or go out of their way to break rules for attention. Scientist "Kieranwy" once theorized in 2021 that there were five primary reasons individuals engaged in the Irrelevance Phenomenon, since then however, these reasons have been grouped together into three separate categories.
Core Three
There are three theorized reasons as to why individuals go out of their way to inconvenience others within the community to show their heightened ego.
Attention
The primary reason is based around seeking the same attention as others. Within Mock Gov, there are many individuals who are at the center of the conversation constantly, and new members join, seeing this wish to replicate themselves and take a piece of the hypothetical attention pie for themselves. Many users driven by attention often break the rules posting the n word, offensive memes, or deny genocides as a way of being funny usually met by a ban by moderators or them getting ignored.
Mental Development

Another relevant reason behind the Irrelevance Phenomenon is the age and mental development of incoming members. Many come directly from other communities, such as Roblox, which is mainly made up of individuals who are 13 or under. Users grouped into the lack of mental development category can often be seen posting history memes or sporting a historical figure as their profile picture alongside their username to match the photo.
Free Time
The final and most overlapping factor is the amount of free time a user has. Many active members of the community are young or low-skill individuals who do not have jobs, are enrolled in lower education, or avoid their essential responsibilities for online internet attention, leading to hundreds of messages per day, often trapping them in the phenomenon.
Owner Syndrome
Owner Syndrome is an issue inflicting many newer Mock Gov members who see already prominent Mock gov owners and wish to have the same importance and attention as they have. Therefore, they will make their own servers often lacking any skills, experience, or the time to dedicate to them. While not inherently a harmful syndrome, a plethora of these individuals usually drag members away from well-ran servers and then die after a week or two. Many individuals inflicted by Owner syndrome either continue hopelessly making new servers or become functioning members of existing communities. Owner syndrome can also appear in server owners who abandon their projects due to suffering from Owen's Phenomenon
