The '''Republic of Discord''' ('''ROD''' or '''RoD'''), commonly known as "'''the Republic'''" or as "'''Discordia'''," was a mock government based on Discord consisting of between three and five states, one federal district, and several incorporated territories at various points in its history. It was one of the largest mock governments on discord by member size (2,300), but suffered from a long period of decline both in member count and in activity over the last several years of its existence as a result of internal conflict, lack of competent and dedicated administration, a series of incompetent and weak governments, poor reputation among the community as a result of previous aggression, and emigration to other mock governments as a result of the aforementioned factors.
