Resprune Fontenay-Ásatrú (born 19 September 2005), also known by his real name Brice, is a French politician who has been serving as the Owner of the French Republic since its creation, as well as the President of the European Union, and an owner of the Republic of Discord. He was previously a Prince in Anne's Poland from Early 2019 up to Mid-2022.
Resprune first discovered Mock Governments himself by making a server of his fictional nation Azerlockia in mid-2018, but it wasn't until early 2019 that he would start to get involved in Mock Governments, notably in Anne's Poland, Community of Mappers and Canadiany's Canada. Seeing those servers inspired him to create the French Republic. In reaction to Poland being taken over by communists after the Soviet-Polish war, he decided to create the European Union as an alliance and opposing force to Leon's Warsaw Pact.
From 2019 up to late 2020, he went by his real name, and took part in numerous conflicts of the community, notably with the Euro-Soviet War, which he would lose due to the Soviets' influence and tactics which outperformed other servers at the time. In late 2020, he rebranded into Resprune, still making France at several instances. However, it wouldn't be until mid-2022 that his France would grow above the 200 count, this was partly due to the implementation of Presidential elections, in contrast to the previous republics with oversaw him as the Permanent President.
Resprune is seen as a major player in Mock Government politics, notably due to the influence of the French Republic on the community, being one of the only french-speaking servers. Resprune holds a controversial status in the community due to allegations of immoral activites. Resprune is also known for his stances advocating for democratic values, diversity of languages in the community and equal rights, the latter opposing the traditional more conservative stances of the community regarding these issues.
