September 2024 R-USA Presidential Election
The September 2024 R-USA Presidential Election was the 7th R-USA presidential election, held on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024. Members across the R-USA Server voted for their candidate. The Republican ticket of Liam A. Elrod and Cole Maxwell won over incumbent President Taylor F. Sage, marking a historic moment in the history of R-USA as an underdog candidate defeated a historically popular incumbent candidate. MSNBC referred to the incident as "R-USA's David v. Goliath".
Sage and XCC1 were renominated by their party with no difficulty. Liam A. Elrod came out as the winner in what was a very tight primary election within the Republican Party, which is shown in the Republican Party section of this article. Elrod chose Cole Maxwell, former Governor of the American Sunbelt, to be his running mate.
Both candidates had nearly identical platforms, policies, beliefs, and ambitions, making this the first Presidential Election in the history of R-USA in which the party of a candidate doesn't really matter.
Background
Procedure
The constitution of the United States of America (R-USA) states that for a person to serve as President of the United States, they must simply be a Citizen of the United States (complete the verification process in the server) and not bear allegiance to any entity which openly works to harm the United States of America. Additionally, R-USA's constitution forbids any person, regardless of who they are, for serving more than 2 consecutive terms (3 months) as the President without having someone else serve in between them.
The General Election on the 25th of September is a direct election in which voters choose who they want to serve them as their next President. The winner of that election, who is called the President-Elect, will take their oath of office on the 1st of October, 2024, which is set to be a Tuesday.
Election Interference

The United States Intelligence Community, more specifically the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has detected atleast one incident of foreign interference in every single Presidential Election in the history of R-USA.
Top officials refer to this as "a coordinated, comprehensive attempt to slowly destroy our Democratic systems by intentionally causing a divide within our nation through illegitimate election results."

The Tankrian Question
Epic's Tankria, a server of around 150 members, has recently cut ties with the United States and has accused them of "controlling the media". In addition, U.S. Counter-Intelligence has revealed Tankria's "Operation Skyfall", their plan to get agents to DM members of the U.S. server and spread false information to them that the server has been mass-reported to try and make the United States of America lose server members.
This led to Epicfr17, the Imperator of Tankria, being arrested without a warrant by U.S. Law Enforcement to "preserve national security".
Both candidates might have discourse about the handling of this situation and how to proceed forward.
Border Security
R-USA never had any form of a border of member verification until the server reached 400 members, which is when then-President FindingRomeo signed a law which ordered the establishment of a national border system. In May of 2024, the Department of Homeland Security became responsible for handling the R-USA border.
Incumbent President Taylor F. Sage has recently tightened border security, which his critics pointed out as unnecessary, with some claiming that it only applies unnecessary pressure on the Department of Homeland Security.
LGBTIQA+ Rights
R-USA is the only server in mock-government which offers specific legal protections designed to protect members of the LGBTIQA+ community, and in February 2024, Federally began to recognize gay marriage. Since March, both the Democratic and the Republican party have seemed to want to protect the status quo.
NATO
The United States is the founding member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization [NATO], and is required to protect all member-states who join NATO. Both candidates may have different ideas on the management of NATO and how to ensure the safety and security of all member-states.
The United Nations
The United States is a founding member of the United Nations of Mock-Government, and the Federal Government officially has a U.S. Diplomatic Mission to the UN, which is currently led by Deputy-Secretary of State Barack Obama. Both candidates may have different ideas on how to use the power the U.S. has in the UN, such as which proposals to send in, how to keep other member states engaged, and what constitutes the rights of every Mock-Government server.
The FBI
The FBI, which stands for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is the agency responsible for domestic counter-intelligence and election security within R-USA. Ever since its creation, there have been debates about its outreach and power, with some Republican Primary Candidates such as Corbin Keitel spreading the idea that the FBI is a "corrupt and tyrannical institution" which is an "enemy of democracy and the people".
Wealth Inequality
There is a considerable number of wealth inequality within R-USA; the top 15 "wealthy elites" hold nearly 98% of the server's total wealth whilst the other members of the server hold the rest of the 2%.
National Security
Plans to counter foreign interference, terrorism, and strengthen the security of the server in general, may become reasonable nuance points during the September election cycle.

Controversy
Disqualification of Corbin94
Republican Primary candidate Corbin94, also known as Corbin Keitel, was disqualified by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for "Failing to meet the criteria to run as President" after he was appointed as Prime Minister of Epic's Tankria.
The disqualification came nearly 55 minutes after the Federal Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation into potential foreign interference in the Republican Primary elections. The disqualification of Corbin Keitel led to Liam Adriel Elrod automatically receiving enough delegates to become the Republican Candidate.
Corbin Keitel is a known conspiracy theorist who has been known to spread ideas such as the FBI within R-USA is a "corrupt and tyrannical organization which is an enemy to the people", or that "the Democrats in control of the server select the Republican candidate - democracy is dead in R-USA". Additionally, he spreads the false theory that the supervisors, or "elite deep-state", control all events within the server.
Corbin94 Sexual Advancements Allegations
The day before the Republican Primary elections began, an anonymous female who had previously worked as a policy advisor for R-USA's Department of Defense approached an FBI Advisor and informed them that they had been the target of unwanted sexual advances made towards them by Corbin Keitel during his tenure as Secretary of Homeland Security.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), following policy, launched an investigation into the incident. No further definitive evidence has surfaced; although the FBI is "concerned" with the suspicious nature of Chaddeus using his position at the Ryūgasaki Broadcasting Service to spread the false narrative that any news articles about the incident is part of a greater scheme of false allegations created by the R-USA Federal Government to discourage Corbin from gaining power within the government.
