The Authority (German: Die Autorität), also formerly known as The Greater Authority (German: Die Größere Autorität) and also by its abbreviation TA, is a Discord-based Mock Government based on Germany. Being historically one of the most influential servers in the community, it is also the most controversial one due to its far-right tendencies.
Founded originally as a German Reich server by Wilhelm Keitel, it began being more soft on its views, which were fascist and extremist, causing their deletion at numerous points in their history. In 2021, they started gaining a lot more influence as a result of their plans to rebuild following the First Soviet-Authority war, which would make them surpass the 1000 members mark.
TA is a Constitutional Monarchy with a Kaiser and a Chancellor, with frequent elections. Despite the historic right-wing populist tendencies, several lighter ideologies managed to prevail in the leadership, which would help with its view on the international stage. In mid-2024, a two-party system was adopted between the Keitelist Party (Now the Conservative Party) and the Clear Sky Party. However, 3 Minor Parties, the SPD, NAfTA, and Ultranationalist Party all participate in politics.
History
Pre-2018
The server was first founded under the name "The German Reich" by Wilhelm Keitel. The server was initially following the paths of direct fascism, and did not gain much attention due to its size, which had between 50 and 100 members. Not much is known of this period, as it was in a tribal state. However, it is known that the server was banned later on by Discord due to extremism. it is claimed by groups that during this time, the "German Reich" was engaging in small conflicts with other groups, most notable being the "Cryzecian Authority", who on a separate wikipedia, claim this period as the "First Wilhelmic wars"
it is also alleged that it was this conflict that Wilhelm Keitel, who held the alias "Adolf Hitler" had gotten his name from this group, Wilhelm has claimed that this is false.
First iterations
Founding of The Authority
On May 10, 2018, Wilhelm Keitel, along with Red Keitel, decide to make a new server, under the name "The Authority". The server would distance itself from the extremist symbols that made itself bannable, and tried to represent a mix between the Kaiserreich and elements from modern-day Germany.
It originally rose up to 200 members, until June 2nd, when it got banned again due to fascism. The next day, it reformed, this time renouncing to fascism in its ideology.
Second server, formation of the Berlin Pact
The second iteration of TA oversaw its first major growth within the Mock Government community, gaining up to between 400 and 600 members by mid-2020.
In July of the same year, a revolutionary force would start in The Authority. Known as the Authority Rebellion Army (ARA), its objective was to destroy the leadership of TA, and take it over. They were however eradicated in late August-early September.
On September 2nd, following threats from the Kingdom of Poland, The Authority declared war on them, and began nuking the server numerous times. Josef, the owner of the Polish server, would then give his concerns to Julius, the leader of the Roman Empire. This would backfire, as Julius and Wilhelm Keitel would agree to becoming allies, and Julius helping to destroy Josef's Poland.
In light of this, Josef decided to inform the League of Servers of the situation. This would cause The Authority and Rome to be suspended from the organization. In reaction, they declare war on the League of Servers. They would form the Berlin Pact, a military alliance led by The Authority.
Within a matter of a few days, the League of Servers would lose members, causing many to flee during the attacks in October. Eventually, the League would get nuked by The Authority.
Soviet-Authority war of 2020

On October 26, 2020, The Authority invaded the Socialist Republic of Norway, which was aligned with Leon's USSR. This would cause the latter to issue an ultimatum to The Authority, which they would deny. Within a few days, the Warsaw Pact declared war on The Authority, causing the rest of the Berlin Pact to be involved.
In the early beginnings of the war, both sides would engage in subversive operations. However, Keitel ordered a strike on Bulgaria, which would cause the server to get nuked later on, causing help to get sent by Leon.
A few days later, on November 21, elections would occur in the Socialist Republic of Romania, which were rigged by The Authority to get control. This would not last long, as Leon ordered to take back Romania, which succeeded. TA therefore had to pull back from Romania.
However, on November 24, the USSR would launch an operation to mass-report The Authority, which succeeded. This would cause the server to get banned again, and would divide TA into two major groups; The Keitel loyalists, who believed into their own reconstruction, and Peter Muller, who believed in rebuilding a new server as quickly as possible to prepare for the Keitels to return. The former would request support from Rome.
In Muller's server, Gran Colombia would gain administrator in the server, and on the same day, decided to raid and spam the server, turning it into an occupied server. This would mark the end of the war.

2024 Pax Auctoritati
Beginning September 1st, 2024, a period known as "Pax Auctoritati" (Known in Latin as Peace Authority) began, and was marked by a huge uptick in activity, member growth, and a revival of interest in The Authority's Mock Government. The Revival was led by Wilhelm Keitel and the 63rd Kaiser Hades Keitel. The revival was a success, and began to draw in many new members and rapidly began increasing activity.
On September 20th, a user known as envix attempted to "nuke" The Authority. However, the Nuke was unsuccessful, as it only resulted in the banning of about 100-200 members, which was far from a "nuke." The attack was stopped immediately by Red Keitel and Cream Keitel.
Shortly afterwards, the 5th Chancellor Election would begin, and Angel would be controversially elected as Chancellor, although was removed shortly afterwards.
On September 28th, Sceplicur decided to attempt to nuke The Authority as well. This attack was more successful and damaging, although yet again was not entirely successful. It resulted in the banning of over 500 members of The Authority, dropping their membership levels to below 600 people. Shortly afterwards, over 200 people rejoined the server and The Authority's membership counts have been reverted back to their levels before the second nuke.
On October 13th, A census was done to change electoral votes. The biggest changes of which were Austria's change from 13 to 25, Poland's change from 29 to 36, and Berlin (Then Germania)'s change from 70 to 59 as a means to create fairness in the election. Within a few days of the Census being complete, The District of Germania was renamed The District of Berlin, as a way to distance themselves from any possible Nazi ideas.
On October 19th, Katto Keitel would return to The Authority, which was a welcome surprise for many. Along with his return would come a new server known as the South American Federation (SAF), which would be known as The Authority's sister server, which encompasses all of South America. The Server would quickly gain membership.
On October 31st, Kaiser Henry Hill would retire from the Throne, giving the title of Kaiser to Vladimir Makarov-Keitel, who has been Kaiser previously. After Henry retired, Tao Hill would immediately divorce him and marry Vlad, remaining as Kaiserin and becoming Tao Makarov-Keitel.
On November 1st, Wilhelm would win the 2024 October Chancellor Election, continuing his role as Chancellor following the resignation of Larry and the banning of Sceplicur. Two weeks later, Vladimir Keitel would abdicate as Kaiser due to real life issues, and him and Tao became Former Kaiser & Kaiserin, with Cream Keitel being crowned.
Decline of 2024 Pax Auctoritati
Beginning November 1st, The Authority began to see a significant decline in activity. Within 3 Weeks, The Authority's Monthly activity fell from around 225K to 175K, an approximate 20% decline. Along with this, The Authority fell from 18 Server Boosts to 10, losing their Level 3 Boost and their custom invite link; however, they remained as the most active MockGov listed on the Wiki.
Subsequent Resurgence and Cold War
Following no major events, activity in The Authority began to rise significantly, around this time, the November 2024 Election was taking place, contributing to how active the server got. Within a few days, Katto would be declared winner of the election in the largest electoral landslide seen in TA History. On November 30th, TA would recognize Epic's Tankria in the ongoing civil war. On December 1st, a user known as CIA Agent would join the server and attempt to spam NSFW. However, the Reichsburo quickly prevented the raid. After some investigation, it was concluded that the user is not affiliated with the CIA in R-USA, despite claims in other MockGovs.
Starting in Late November, a 3-Way Cold War began to emerge, between The Authority, R-USA, and the Putin Dynasty. The Authority's official response was that R-USA and Putin Dynasty are both dead servers and cannot compete with The Authority.
On the 11th of December, 2024, Katto would reform the Reichswehr, creating a standing military for The Authority. The following day, Katto would begin partial mobilization. The Reichswehr quickly became successful with over 40+ people joining the army.
War with Bosnia
As a show of force, TA, led by Katto, would nuke Bosnia on the 13th of December 2024 in an attempt to demonstrate that R-USA and NATO would not respond to the attack. Following the attack, R-USA and other NATO members claimed that Bosnia was never in NATO, which is disputed. Following a peace treaty between Wilhelm and Gameslayer, Bosnia would be rebuilt under the ownership of Katto, although Gameslayer would remain the leader of Bosnia.
War with Manrat's Ottoman Empire
On the 14th of December, 2024, Manrat would raid and nuke France, which was an ally of The Authority. In response to this, The Authority would declare war against Manrat's Ottoman Empire in defense of France. Following this, the Reichswehr would be mobilized in preparation for a possible attack on TA. However, shortly afterwards, Manrat would make his motivation for his attack against France clear and apologize to TA, which quickly ended the conflict in a white peace, saving both nations from war.
Decline of Pax Auctoritati
Beginning after Christmas, The Authority began to rapidly decline in activity, although continued to grow in membership. TA hit a peak of 15K daily messages before immediately crashing down to less than 3K, and continued to decline and die.
HICOM Split
On January 17th, 2025, Tao would leave The Authority following a rigged vote, along with HICOM. Following this, Vladimir Makarov would delete The Authority's Main Channel and leave as well. The following day, Nilinity would also leave the HICOM and server. Tension broke out between HICOM members Wilhelm and Cream over Katto having such a powerful position over The Authority.
Toxxed and Deleted
On January 27th, 2025, The Authority would suddenly be spam reported and toxxed. Almost immediately, 1900 accounts were disabled, many of whom were world leaders across all of MockGov. The server would be deleted, ending The Authority. This would be quickly met with celebration across many communities in, affiliated with, and out of MockGov, as many saw The Authority as a symbol of extremism. A few members would join a new server known as The Saxon Empire. Following the toxx, Nusk would claim responsibility, with Autritus saying he had The Authority reported for messages of Violent Extremism, which would be met with hate towards him by some angered members.
the Return
On January 29th, 2025, TA would be restored under new Kaiser Kulzer, Chancellor Wilhelm Keitel and Vice–Chancellor Lucas – who would return with a first Reichskommissariat of new TA, Moscow, rapidly would start reforms, new economy and would establish a succeedor of Berlin Pakt – Germania Pakt. Ta would gain around 500 members a month after restoration.
Politics
Government Hierarchy
The Authority features a standard Hierarchy within it's government, although it does not reflect the official hierarchy of power if Wilhelm is to be absent from The Authority. The Government is split into three main branches, similar to the United States. There is a legislative, executive, and judicial branch.
Chancellor
The Chancellor leads the executive Branch of The Authority. From the creation of hereditary titles to the signing of treaties, the Chancellor's powers are expansive within The Authority, although they do have their limits, and are not unrestricted with their power. They serve for about 30-40 days before the next election occurs, although they do not have term limits.
Vice Chancellor
Considered Second in Command to The Chancellor, The Vice Chancellor assumes a central and multifaceted role in shaping the nation's governance and representation. This pivotal position involves presiding over the Bundesrat, one of the chambers of Congress.
The Authority's Cabinet of Ministers
The Cabinet of Ministers, or the Chancellor's Cabinet, is a group of government officials appointed by The Chancellor to direct and lead various parts of The Authority, whether that be the military of MockGov Partnerships.

The Authority is Comprised of 10 States and 1 district, 5 of which (and the District of Berlin) belonging to the real historical German Empire. The states vary wildly in population and size, with Prussia being the largest in size and The Netherlands being the smallest, although the District of Berlin is smaller, as it comprises of just a city.

Electoral System For Chancellor
The Authority uses an Electoral System, similar to the American Electoral College. There are 11 States, each with varying electoral votes based on membership. The candidate with the majority of votes in the state will win all of the electoral votes, and has to gain at least 150 to be elected Chancellor.

Chancellor Electoral History
First 5 Chancellors
The First Five Chancellors of The Authority were not elected electorally, and were instead appointed as such. This was before the Authority was deleted in 2023.
June 2024 Chancellor Election for The Authority
The June 2024 Chancellor Election was the first chancellor election between the incumbent, Wilhelm Keitel, candidate of the Conservative Party; Mikro, candidate of the Clear Sky Party; and Croix, an Independent Candidate.
On Election night, Wilhelm won 252 Electoral Votes and became the 6th Chancellor of The Authority, which was huge compared to Mikro's miniscule 35 Electoral Votes from Bavaria, and Croix's 13 from Bohemia.
July 2024 Chancellor Election for The Authority
The July 2024 Chancellor Election was the 2nd election between the incumbent, Wilhelm Keitel, candidate of the Conservative Party; Katto Keitel, candidate of the Clear Sky Party; and Joshia, an Independent Candidate.
On Election night, Katto Keitel won 180 Electoral Votes and became the 7th Chancellor of The Authority, beating out Wilhelm's 109 Electoral Votes and Joshia's 11 Votes, only winning Hannover.
August (I) 2024 Chancellor Election
The First August 2024 Chancellor Election was the 3rd election between Karl Keitel, candidate of the Conservative Party; Red Keitel, candidate of the Clear Sky Party; and Immortal Monarch, an Independent Candidate.
On Election night, Karl Keitel won 184 Electoral Votes and became the 8th Chancellor of The Authority, winning against Red Keitel's small 53 Electoral Votes and Immortal Monarch's 63 Electoral Votes.
August (II) 2024 Chancellor Election
The Second August 2024 Chancellor Election was the 4th election caused due to Karl Keitel resigning as Chancellor less than a week after winning the election. The Election was between Sceplicur (Wilhelm Keitel III) of the Conservatives and Hekster of the Clear Sky Party.
On Election night, Sceplicur won in an electoral landslide and became the 9th Chancellor of The Authority, collecting 276 out of 300 Electoral Votes, compared to Hekster's 24 Electoral Votes, having only won The Netherlands.
September 2024 Chancellor Election
The September 2024 Chancellor Election was the 5th Election for Chancellor that was a competition between Wilhelm Keitel of the Conservative Party and Angel Leon of the National Alternative Party, a 3rd Party.
During the Election, Angel would win 141 Electoral Votes compared to Wilhelm's 130 Electoral Votes. Issues arose when The Rhineland became too close to call, giving neither candidate a 150 Majority. This was the first instance of this happening in The Authority's Electoral History.
As a compromise to solve the issue, the whole server was allowed to vote in a poll that would decide which candidate the Rhineland would be given to. The polls slowly swung in Angel's favor, securing him a 170 Electoral Majority. Accusations of voter fraud became very prevalent in the final vote, and it was eventually exposed that the vast majority of votes giving Angel a lead over Wilhelm were in fact bribed votes from Tao Keitel, a then new member who despised Wilhelm. Even excluding these fraudulent votes, Angel still had a slight edge over Wilhelm, which eventually allowed him to secure Chancellery, becoming the 10th Chancellor of The Authority. Despite winning, he would be removed from power a week later due to extreme inactivity during and after the election. He would be replaced by Sceplicur, who would be subsequently replaced by Larry and finally Wilhelm Keitel.
October 2024 Chancellor Election
The October 2024 Chancellor Election was the 6th Election for Chancellor. The Election was a competition between Wilhelm Keitel of the Conservative Party, and Minor Candidates Phantom Ultima of SPD and Gustav Husak of NAfTA. Other participants include Miya Hill of the Clear Sky Party, Artyom Hill of the Ultranationalist Party, and Barack Obama and Hoffman as independents.
During the Election, Wilhelm would win 190 Electoral Votes, giving him the victory. Phantom would win 77 Electoral Votes, which was the first time in history that SPD won any electoral votes. Gustav Husak would win 33 Electoral Votes from the Lowland States, a stark contrast to NAfTA's previous victory under Angel Leon, who lost the NAfTA Primary.
November 2024 Chancellor Election
The November 2024 Chancellor Election was the 7th Election for Chancellor. The Election was a competition between Katto Keitel, an independent candidate, Vladimir Makarov-Keitel, a Ultranationalist Candidate, and Minor Candidates Phantom Ultima of SPD. Other participants include Nooboist of the Conservative Party and Miya Hill of the Clear Sky Party. During the Election, Katto would win an overwhelming 285 Electoral Votes, the largest electoral landslide in The Authority's History. Vladimir Makarov would only win in Belgium, giving him 15 Electoral Votes. Despite large amounts of support, Phantom would not receive any electoral votes due to strategic losses in SPD-Heavy states such as Bavaria.
Volkscongress
The Volkscongress of The Authority is the bi-cameral legislative branch of the server, being made up of two chambers: The Reichstag, the Lower Chamber; and the Reichsrat, the Upper Chamber.
Reichstag
The Reichstag is the Lower Chamber of Volkscongress, being inspired by the IRL US House of Representatives. The Reichstag has 1 month terms, and has one office for every 37 members, and are proportioned based on population of the States. The Reichstag also elects the Speaker of the Reichstag, who's job is to guide Reichstag Sessions and conduct voting. The Reichstag is able to propose legislation for The Authority, and send it to the Reichsrat for approval.
Reichsrat
The Reichsrat is the Upper Chamber of the Volkscongress, being inspired by the IRL US Senate. Each State is allocated 2 people in the Reichsrat in order to create fair representation for all. The Reichsrat is also allowed to propose constitutional amendments to The Authority, unlike the Reichstag. The Leader of the Reichsrat is the President of The Reichsrat, who is appointed by The Chancellor. However, they are not allowed to propose legislation, and can only approve and suggest bills and drafts to the Reichstag.
Political Parties
The Authority currently has 4 Main Political Parties: The SPD, CPA, CSP, and NAfTA. There is also a 5th group of non-partisan and independents, although they are not a political party.
- Conservative Party of the Authority (CPA) - The Conservative Party, originally known as the Keitelist Party, is one of the oldest political parties within the Authority. Founded by Wilhelm Keitel, this party is rooted in Right-Wing Populist-Conservative principles. Over the years, the Keitelist Party gained significant popularity, achieving numerous electoral victories. The party is led by Wilhelm Keitel. The party is similar to the Republican Party of the United States.
- Clear Sky Party (CSP) - The Clear Sky Party, founded by Katto Keitel, was established with the mission to empower the common people of the Authority through the principles of pure democracy and liberalism. The party seeks to create a more free and equitable nation, free from tyranny for every honest man, woman, and child. The party is similar to the Democratic Party of the United States.
- National Alternative for The Authority (NAfTA) - The National Alternative for The Authority, founded by Angel Leon, presents a viable alternative within the political landscape of the Authority. Rooted in nationalism and liberalism, the party aims to prioritize the interests of its citizens while having progressive values and opposing the conservative dominated politics. The party is led by Angel Leon.
- Union of Social Democrats (SPD) - The Union of Social Democrats, founded by PhantomUltima. is committed to advancing social democracy and progressive values within the Authority. Founded on the principles of equality, social justice, and collective responsibility, the party seeks to promote the welfare of all citizens through inclusive policies and reform. it is one of the smaller third parties. The party is currently led by PhantomUltima.
- Ultranationalist Party - The current iteration of the Ultranationalist party, founded by [Blank], is the current iteration of the Ultranationalist Party, which has existed various times prior to this. The party believes in Far-Right ideas and Nationalism.
Independents
The Independents or Non-Partisans are a semi-large group of members who do not identify with any of the four main political parties. They do not have an official ideology or party system, but do participate in chancellor elections.

Royal Family - House of Keitel
The Royal Family is a crucial part of the culture of The Authority. The Royal Family is known as the House of Keitel (Alternatively Keitels), and is led by Wilhelm Keitel, who created the Royal Family. The Keitels have been the Royal Family since the start of the Authority, and all Kaisers excluding 64th Kaiser Henry Hill have been Keitels.

The House of Hill (Alternatively Hills), was a branch of the House of Keitels. The Hills were originally created by Henry Hill after receiving war merit from High Command. After the stepping down of Hades Keitel as 63rd Kaiser of The Authority, Henry Hill, who was Crown Prince, assumed the role as Kaiser. This would be the first time someone ,who wasn't from the main Keitel Branch, assumed the role of Kaiser.
After the retirement and departure of Henry Hill as Kaiser, the Hill family would be dissolved and would merge with the Keitels.
Kaiser
The Kaiser/Kaiserin is the Head of State within The Authority, differentiating from the Chancellor being the Head of Government. Although not being owner, they hold a lot of power and are not elected by the people.

Kaiser/Kaiserin-Consort
Kaiser/Kaiserin-Consort (Usually Kaiserin-Consort) is the married partner to the current Head of State. Unlike the Kaiser/Kaiserin, the Consort does not hold any significant power, or much of a purpose. Due to this, many Kaisers did not have a Consort. Due to the lack of Female Kaisers, a Kaiser-Consort has not existed yet. Despite this, there have been a few notable Kaiserin-Consorts in TA History, although many are forgotten.
Anglican Church of The Authority
The Anglican Church of The Authority is the only official religious institution of The Authority. The Anglican Church follows Anglicanism, a Christian Denomination originating during the Protestant Reformation in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Church has a hierarchy starting with Archbishop, then to Bishop, Priest, and then Deacon. As per a census done by Tao Keitel, There are around 500 Christians in The Authority, most of whom are likely not part of the Church.
Modern Culture
Language
Although the server itself is German-Inspired, with many of the role names being in both German and English, almost the entire server speaks English, likely due to the American Background of many of its prominent members, and the lack of a large German Speaking community in MockGov and on Discord in general.
Media and News
The Authority has Seven Channels used for News, all of which with different uses for different groups. One of which is intergov, which is primarily used for the United Nations of Mock-Government, an intergovernmental organization of MockGovs based on the real UN. foreign-news is also used for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, based on the real NATO.
Keitelist Network and Keitelist Post are currently being unused, likely due to resources being used on other networks.
IRL is for real life news, and is the most active channel, hosting a number of news stories from across the globe.
The Ryugasaki Broadcasting Service, or RBS, is an independent media network reporting on international affairs within MockGov.
Outlook of the Authority is an Activity Forecast originally hosted by Moai Keitel-Hill, and forecasted activity and message count of the server daily beginning October 14th, 2024. After a while, the Government took it from Moai and handed it to Tao Keitel, before she sold it back to Moai. The channel is now ran by Baron Karunayan Sunny.

The Demographics of The Authority cover the Religion, Gender, Sexuality, Citizenship Status, Population Distribution, and Overall Population. These statistics are recorded by Tao Keitel, who leads the Census Bureau of The Authority
Religion
With a European Mock Government, The Authority is largely a Christian (without specifications of denominations) server. However, there are significant amounts of Muslims and Atheists in the server, with smaller groups of Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists. Shinto is arguably the smallest religious group in The Authority, representing less than 1% of the Population and having less than 10 people following the religion. This Religious demographic is possibly the cause of certain Islamophobic and Anti-Semitic groups within the community, who have since shrunk in influence and some of whom are banned from the server permanently.
Gender
Due to The Authority's Reputation, existence on Discord, and being part of a Male-Dominated Sub-Community, The Authority is largely Male, with very few members actually being Female. Despite this, many partially or very well known members of The Authority have actually been Female, and over time, the amount of women in the server has been increasing for quite some time due to the reputation of The Authority being a male-dominated and edgy server no longer being applicable. It is very likely that a shift in the demographic could happen, and more females could be likely to join The Authority, resulting in a possible cultural shift within the server itself.
Sexuality
In a poll conducted by Tao Keitel and Cream Keitel, around 90% of The Authority is straight. This was slightly less, as estimates predicted the number would be closer to 95%, but as The Authority softened it's rhetoric, it has allowed some slight changes that were not accounted for. This is a stark contrast to servers like R-USA, who have a significant amount of LGBTQ+ people in the server. However, the overwhelming majority of members of The Authority are not supportive of LGBTQ, as been shown by conducted polls. This, however, does line up well with the conservative majority in The Authority, which is typically not favorable towards LGBTQ groups. However, the overall opinion of the server has slowly mellowed along with the server politics, becoming less extreme.
