The September 2024 Authority Chancellor Election was a federal election held in The Authority through the month of September. The Election was originally announced by Wilhelm Keitel on the 3rd of September, which would begin the primaries for the election.
During the election, the new party, The National Alternative for The Authority, nominated Angel Leon as their candidate, while The Conservative Party nominated Wilhelm Keitel. Arguments began spewing across the server until Election day would come September 15th. On Election Night, Red Keitel of the Clear Sky Party dropped out of the race and endorsed the Conservative Party. At the end of the night, neither Wilhelm nor Angel reached 150 electoral votes due to a close race in The Rhineland, which caused a Constitutional Crisis. A debate was held shortly afterwards, which many voted that Wilhelm had won.
Later in the week, a national poll was held to decide the winner of the Rhineland. As the day went on, the polls slowly shifted in favor of Angel, which secured him the victory despite accusations of voter fraud and bribery. This would be the 2nd time out of the last 5 elections that a Non-Conservative won Chancellor. Shortly afterwards however, two mass bans would happen and Angel Leon would be removed from power in-between them due to inactivity, giving the role of Chancellor to Sceplicur.
Initial Announcement and Primary Elections
Official Announcement
On September 3rd, during Sceplicur's term as Chancellor, Wilhelm would announce the September Chancellor Elections at the beginning of Pax Auctoritati. Instantly, many people would begin signing up, and the Election would become more interesting after the introduction of SPD and NAfTA.
Primaries
Due to the lack of membership in multiple other parties, the SPD, NAfTA, and CSP all did not have official primaries. The exception is the Conservatives, the largest party, who had an official primary election.
Conservative Primary - September 7th to September 9th
The Conservative Primaries were held between September 7th and September 9th during the election. During the primaries, votes were cast for conservative candidates Wilhelm Keitel, Adolf Keitel, and Otto Keitel. As expected, Wilhelm Keitel received the most votes out of the three main candidates, securing him the nomination for the federal election.
Clear Sky Primary
Due to the lack of competition, the Clear Sky Party did not have a full primary election, as the only candidate was Red Keitel.
Social Democrat Primary
Due to the lack of competition, the Social Democrats did not have a full primary election, but nominated PhantomUltima to be their candidate in the election.
National Alternative Primary
Due to the lack of competition, the National Alternative did not have a full primary election, but did nominate Angel Leon, who would go on to become the other major Candidate in the upcoming Election.
Election Night
Election Night was scheduled to be on September 15th, and each State would finish their polls at different times to line up with time zones. This was an interesting election for many.
Poll Closings And Winners
At 8PM EST, the 2 States of Prussia and Poland would close their polls and begin counting the votes. Wilhelm was determined to be the winner of Prussia and Angel was determined to be the winner of Poland, giving 50 electoral votes to Wilhelm and 29 to Angel, giving Wilhelm a 21 point lead.
At 9PM EST, The District of Germania and the 4 States of Brandenburg, Bohemia, Bavaria, and Austria would all close their polls. Wilhelm won the District of Germania and Brandenburg, giving him 80 more electoral votes, while Angel won Bohemia, Bavaria, and Austria, giving him 61 Electoral Votes. The current score was set to 130 Electoral Votes for Wilhelm, only 20 away from Victory, and 90 Electoral Votes for Angel, 60 away from victory. During the closing, Red Keitel of The Clear Sky Party would conceded from the race and endorsed Wilhelm.
At 10PM EST, the 4 States of Hannover, Rhineland, Netherlands, and Belgium-Nordfrankreich closed their polls. Hannover, Netherlands, and Belgium-Nordfrankreich were all given to Angel, pushing him to 141 Electoral Votes against Wilhelm's 30 Electoral Votes.
Rhineland Close Race & Constitutional Crisis
When the Rhineland's polls were closed, the race was extremely close to call. Despite numerous attempts to decide the Rhineland, neither side was able to win, creating a tie and preventing either candidate from securing 150 Electoral Votes. This began a constitutional crisis, as there is no law within the constitution on what happens when the states vote is tied.

Polls After the Debate
Concluding the debate, a Keitel sponsored poll concluded that the consensus was that Angel had lost the debate, with around 55% of respondents saying that Wilhelm won the debate compared to 25% believing Angel had won; 20% of respondents, however, were undecided.

Initial Conservative Lead & Turn Towards Favoring Angel
At the beginning of the Announcement, the Conservative Party had a fair electoral lead, and would surely win the Rhineland. Midway through the poll, however, many votes coming from newly joined members began appearing in the polls, narrowing the gap between Wilhelm and Angel, causing a panic amongst conservative voters.
Near the end of the poll, the vote finally began to turn in favor of Angel, which began accusations of voter fraud. However, this did not stop the growing lead Angel had, and when the poll was concluded, Angel had a lead of 13 votes.
Voter Fraud Accusations
Beginning during and after the poll, conservative voters, including people such as Wilhelm himself, began spewing accusations of voter fraud, which were at the time not evident. Despite these accusations, Angel would be made Chancellor and his cabinet would be established, much to the criticism of most members.
However, less than 3 days after winning, someone from the server that Tao Hill, the then Minister of Defense, had owned for some time joined the server and leaked chat logs, revealing that she had bribed 10+ people with staff promotions if they joined The Authority and voted for Angel. This was due to an alleged hatred of Wilhelm for bothering him in dms months prior. Despite this, Tao's election fraud would not have changed the outcome, and it was forgettable to the point that she wasn't prosecuted.
Aftermath and Result
As a result, Angel would win The Rhineland, giving him 170 Electoral Votes, more than enough to secure the role as Chancellor. He would be the 2nd of the new Chancellors to not be aligned with the Conservative Party, and the first National Alternative Chancellor. Despite his victory, he would be removed from power shortly after a nuke, as he had gone inactive and would not take action himself against the threats to the server. Many people, including Wilhelm, Sceplicur, Red, and Larry Keitel all viewed him as an incompetent leader, and that his cabinet (excluding a few) were also extremely incompetent. His victory, however, did not change the period of Pax Auctoritati, as the server continued to grow despite a 2nd nuke.
