We The People (Mock Government)

We The People, commonly known simply as "WTP," was a discord-based mock government formed sometime prior to January 2018 and lasting until its eventual downfall and demise in 2023. It was considered a major mock government from 2018 to 2020, undergoing a slow but steady decline from 2019 onwards as a result of growing competitors, aging population, and failure to innovate. WTP played a critical role in the early days of the Fifteenth Republic of Discord, with the WTP-ROD conflicts preceding a period of rapid growth and recovery within the Republic.

We the People did not have a definitive end-date, instead succumbing to slow decline until the gears of government stopped moving altogether at some point in mid-2023. WTP was known for its democratic system of government and its strong orientation towards RP without necessarily implementing later innovations like RP events in mock government servers. It was also notable for its Administrative model, which saw a more traditional separation of staff and government duties than other contemporary mock governments.

Legacy

WTP had a strong influence on many contemporary mock governments, and was a clear predecessor to the Republic of Discord.
